Bio: Cynthia Davis
Cynthia Davis Designs is located in Trumbull, Ct. Cynthia Davis has been a decorative artist since 1993. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Vermont, and has studied with The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Pratt University, N.Y. Silvermine Artist Guild, Ct. Brookfield Art Center, Pierre Finkelstein Painting Institute, NY, Sepp Leaf. NY. She has studied in Europe with Vigini Studios of San Antonio, Texas and The Bottega D'Arte, Florence, Italy to keep on top of the latest design trends and finishes. She has also traveled to Europe with Prismatic Painting Studios of Cinncinnati Ohio, where she worked on a design team to faux paint a 18 room Chateaux in France. Cynthia is a member of IDAL, International Decorative Artisans League, and has access to the latest stencil and faux finishing products.

Bio: Viadimir Charaschevski
Vladimir Charaschevski has been an instrumental part of Meoded since our inception. He worked with the company owner, Shlomi Meoded, in Israel, and they moved together to Los Angeles in 2002 to start Meoded Paints & Decoration. Vladimir has always been strong suited in his technical abilities, and his duties typically entail providing onsite consultations to contractors and artisans around Los Angeles, but also providing training and running customer demonstrations for walk-in customers and for our retailers around the country. In Israel, he would go to job sites and help contractors troubleshoot and guide them through projects step by step. Being in his mid twenties at the time, many contractors would view him skeptically upon arrival, but after a short time, realized that indeed an experienced plaster professional was there to address any concerns or issues they had. A customer favorite, Vladimir is not only the backbone of technical knowledge here at Meoded, but also gives suggestions for new products in development and does quality control on our products. Vladimir’s solid base of 15 years in plaster has allowed Meoded to move forward confidently knowing that each batch released from our production facility exceeds our standards for quality and workability.

Class description: Meoded
Stucco Lamundo, Marmorino Tintoretto, Marmorino Palladino (3 styles, although more texture options will be shown as Vladimir can show 3 at a time on one board), Tonachino Firenze, and Velvet. Vladimir will bring other goodies like the Sapphire Metallic paint that is being released summer 2010. Attendees will have a few colors to choose from in some of the products. Velature Glaze and Hydrowax will be taught in the class to finish the appropriate products.
